About HuntDates

HuntDates answers one question fast: what can I hunt right now? Pick a state and the board tells you, species by species — open today in blaze orange, counting down in amber, closed in gray — with the full season tables and draw deadlines underneath.

Every date on this site comes from the state wildlife agency’s published regulations for the current season year, and every page tells you when we last checked them. We cover 15 states today, focused on deer, turkey, duck, and dove, and we’re adding more as the data earns its place.

Read the regs anyway

HuntDates is a calendar, not the law. Season dates don’t cover bag limits, legal weapons, county exceptions, tags, or license requirements — and agencies issue emergency orders when conditions change. Before you hunt, confirm everything in the official regulations linked at the bottom of every page. If our dates and the agency’s ever disagree, the agency is right.

Corrections

Spot a date that doesn’t match the current regs book? We want to know — a correction helps every hunter who checks after you.
